The air around me smells of
eternal existence,
That’s when I agonized it was
YOUR presence,
Dark alleys were lit from the
light of the (lost) star,
The pains of destiny left the door
ajar.
YOU were a recumbent goldfish
in a fishbowl,
Looking for a place to hide,
to caress YOUR soul,
Winds of change came riding
through the open door,
YOU woke up in my arms being
washed ashore,
The portentous sea in YOU
wants to come out,
The gushing waves of emotions
discomfortingly shout,
“Let us go free, we don’t want
to desiccate,”
YOU know they are true, but
you still procastinate.
The mirage of YOU thought I
was a pariah,
Threw me down to justify their
Karma.
I fell into the lap of
never-ending reality,
The moments with YOU were
there for eternity …
